Parents and Players view

Around a year ago, I went to the UK Tour that was arranged by Stallions - the very first academy in Qatar to do so. Now, when I am talking about the UK tour, let me tell you that is wasn't like any other tour to UK, this was a tour with each and every moment filled with so much exhilaration, so much enthusiasm that everyone traveling had a hard time leaving.

Playing matches on breath-taking grounds, taking a tour of Lords Cricket Stadium, rolling eggs down a garden to see whose egg reaches first, posing with wax statues in Madame Tussauds, visiting a factory that produces bats, joking around in the bus with the coaches...I could really go on and on for pages if you asked me to write about the UK tour.  I am not able to imagine a company better than  that we had during the tour. The fun I had with my roommate, Ameesha, used to usually get me rolling on the floor laughing. And it's not just about having fun, we all learnt a lot of lessons too, and lessons that weren't limited to cricket.

This was one of the best tours I have ever had! This would really have not been possible without Coach Sidath, Coach Ashan, Coach Manoj and of course, my mother (who had a hard time controlling our kiddish behaviour that came up with all the fun we were having). Not forgetting all the parents who also travelled with us and helped us out in any way possible. There wasn't even one moment when I thought we were all different, because honestly speaking, it felt like we were a family.

My experience with Stallions Cricket Academy has been since it started in 2013. The highlight of it has been so far the amazing tour they organized to the UK.  It was very professionally organized and the most important aspect of it was that the boys got the experience of a lifetime in playing matches against British teams and also visiting places such The Lords among many other activities. As a parent who travelled with the team as well, all I can say about my experience was that it was beyond expectations. I am sure the 2105 tour to Sri Lanka will be even better.   The academy is doing a great thing by organizing such tours which help the young players to develop and gain experience in playing conditions. I wish the Stallions Academy and the touring team all the very best.

The Stallions Cricket Academy mainly consisting of young children of the expatriates living in Doha made their inaugural Cricket tour of England. The management of the Stallions Academy should be highly commended as they decided to inaugurate their cricket tours to the country which introduced Cricket to the cricketing world and their calculated move to take the children during the peak of summer into very pleasant weather conditions in the U.K. was highly praised by the parents who accompanied the children on tour.

On the cricketing point of view this tour was a great success for the lads from Doha, Qatar who joined this Academy a couple of months before and to see them embark on a cricket tour to a nation that has been producing great players in the past. They had the opportunity of visiting the Headquarters of world cricket and even having a practice session at the most prestigious cricket grounds in the world “The Lords”.

The young and budding cricketers were able to visit the Headingly Cricket Stadium which is the cricketing pride of every Yorkshire man in the United Kingdom. They played a couple of matches against an English team and a team also from Dubai who was touring England during the same period of time. Further they participated in a tournament which was contested among 7 teams and the boys from the Stallions managed to finish as second Runner up.

The management of the Stallions Cricket Academy did not forget the parents who accompanied the children during the tour. They had organised various city tours and visits to places like the Cricket Museum at Lords, Madame Tussauds, London Eye, Big Ben and Excursion to Xcape to name a few. They also did not forget the ladies on tour by organising trips to the London City Centre for them to do their necessary shopping.

While thanking the Stallions Cricket Academy for providing the young cricketing talent of the future with such opportunities to play against top opposition and to develop their game to become future test players and also not forgetting the parents who were provided with  equal opportunities to visit some beautiful places and London sightseeing.

Finally let us hope the tour of Sri Lanka where most of us will be visiting our Mother Land, will be another great success story and the performance of our players will be highly commendable. To the non Sri Lankans who will be on tour, we welcome you to enjoy the Sri Lankan hospitality and assure you that it will be a tour to remember for many more years.

I also take this opportunity to thank the management staff of the Stallions Cricket Academy and wish them every success in the future

All of us have heard the one of the most famous quotes of all time, ’all good things come to an end’. A quote that is hard to come to terms with for the delighted, or in one word, us. Yes, the time of our lives, stallions tour to England, has ultimately come to an end. Nevertheless, from this, we take an incalculable amounts of memories and experiences which we shall appraise for the rest of our lives.

The tour to England gave us a rich experience in both cricket as well as to develop our personal lives. The lessons that we learnt from our coaches are remarkable. The fun we had with my fellow team mates ware amazing. It was a life time opportunity that one could get to play in English soil and especially as youngsters we are so proud be the first batch who toured with stallions to UK and to being a part of history makers.

The tour was well mixed with loads of cricket, team building and leadership training activities from our experienced coaches. I was simply enjoyed the tour and it was all because of you Sidath coach, Ashan coach and Manoj coach. The enjoyable moments other than cricket made us we are one family. Here we go one more time. It’s time to replicate the same in Sri Lanka. We are anxiously waiting for the Sri Lanka tour to play in competitive cricketing environment. Thanks to Stallions management for getting us these opportunities to play in international arena and I wish to continue playing with my stallion’s family

Stallions Cricket Academy Qatar, Tour of England 2014 was the first ever U13 tour organized by the academy which was great opportunity to my son (Mohammed AZAM)  to explore his cricketing experience in an international soil. I was surprised and enjoyed his best all –round performance throughout the tournament, which played in England. It was memorable moment when we visited Lords- Home of Cricket for a practice session using the latest hawk eye technology. Another Big dream of my son which was walking through Long room on his way to the wicket to play and indeed getting his name on the honours boards!  Tour of UK 2014 was a first class an excellent tour and Stallions team did everything possible to make the trip an enjoyable experience for youngsters and parents. I would like to take this opportunity to wish the coaches and the young players of Stallions Cricket Academy Qatar wish all the best on their second international tour to Sri Lanka. Stallions Cricket Academy's tour to UK was an amazing life time experience that one could ever get. The academy worked really hard to make a tour to the UK to develop player's level of cricket. The tour gave players the opportunity to witness an incredible atmosphere for playing cricket. The matches taught players the different skills of playing cricket in different grounds, outside home. The tour encouraged players and the coaches to continue working hard on cricket, the sport they love.

The Stallions tour to UK helped the players to fulfil a cricketers dream of visiting the home of cricket "Lords" The players really loved the tour of the stadium as they saw the beauty of cricket from the beginning of its history.  The players couldn't have imagined of a better tour in their life. Stallions cricket academy did an incredible job in organising an unforgettable tour to the UK. I would like to thank Sidath Coach Ashan coach and Manoj coach for giving us an opportunity to play in international arena. We hope that Stallions Cricket academy succeeds in their future tours to other countries and this year we are eagerly waiting to experience the Sri Lanka tour and I hope to do my best in the tour.
